AC Milan relationship with Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola is at its lowest point with rumors suggesting the rossoneri will end any kind of contact with him or the players represented by him.
Donnarumma’s renewal rejection has sparked a wide controversy involving Mino Raiola and AC Milan. Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli did everything in their power to convince the young shot-stopper to sign a new contract offering him the chance to become Milan highest earner with 5 million euros net per season. Outraged by the player’s and Raiola’s attitude the club is considering to end any kind of relationship linking Milan with the infamous agent. The situation appears to be more complicated than that because he represents six other players who play or are owned by Milan. The players are: Ignazio Abate, Jack Bonaventura, Rodrigo Ely, Matteo Gabbia, Cosimo La Ferrara and Hachim Mastour. The fans have raised their voice asking for any contacts with Raiola to end regardless the cost.
The Italian-born Dutch football agent represents Ely returning from Spain where he was loaned at Alaves but ready to be permanently sold. Raiola’s influence is deep even in Milan youth sector representing the 18 year old midfielder Gabbia and the 19 year old attacker La Ferrara. Another client of his is Hachim Mastour, Milan’s big promise who has yet to reach his true potential. He was initially loaned in Spain at Malaga and later at Zwolle. His contract is about to expire and Milan have no to intention offer a renewal.Is there a real risk for another Donnarumma case? The fans have clearly expressed their voice asking for Raiola’s head in social media without thinking about the consequences. The fans have not stopped there asking in addition the club ends any relationship even with the players represented by him. An uncomfortable topic the rossoneri have to tackle in order to avoid another similar trap.

Except Donanrumma, the two other big names represented by Raiola are the defender Abate and midfielder Bonaventura. Both have been regular starters for the red and blacks in the last seasons. With Andrea Conti’s arrival (read here) Abate is headed for a substitute place in the bench while Bonaventura who is considered as one of Milan best players still has an important part to play in the future. Could Milan undertake such a dramatic cleanup? It remains to be seen.
